If sneak preview vids are any indication, this promising new venture will feature some of the hardest cherry-reddening, tushy-tannings on the Interwebs. And Audrey is, without a doubt, one of the most serious and seasoned butt-blazers in the biz.

We here at Cherry Red HQ caught up with Audrey recently to get the behind-the-scenes scoop on what’s up and what’s new:

Hi Dave! Thanks for chatting with me.  I’m excited to be here!

How are you doing these days?

Wonderful!

So what’s the lowdown on your forthcoming new site? and what talent will you be featuring? I think you had mentioned Pixie, for example…..?

Ooh! well, my site is in the final stages of preparation.  I already have more content in the can than my old sites had after a year of being open, and have wonderful models….I’ve done shoots with Amber Pixie Wells — she is a total sweetheart, smart and so much fun to spank.

And yes, of course,  Abigail Whittaker will be on the site.   I’ve also shot with Vanny Gonzales and Juno Albright, Krystina and Mila Rhyzhkov, and many new faces to the scene.  (Check out my model page here — it will be updated as I complete more shoots.)

How are you going to differentiate it from other spank sites?

Great question. That is something I thought about a lot in the planning stages.  It’s my hope to appeal to a wide variety of viewers - with lots of different roles for the actors, some real and some role-play.  Instead of limiting myself to a tiny niche, I hope to satisfy a broad spectrum of spankos by addressing the many facets of spanking.

It was my vision to present a site that offers a little — no, a lot! — of everything — that’s how I picked the name 360 - a whole world of spanking. I also plan to offer a social networking service, forum and chat rooms.  I want Spanking360 to be a well-rounded and easy-to-use hub of spanking that not only entertains, but brings spankos together.

From looking at the preview pix on your blog, the new site looks like a tasty blend of M/f and F/f and F/m as well, which is somewhat rare to see in one site. . .

Yes! Thanks for noticing…  I don’t see much male bottoming on major sites, and always wanted to see a little more.  To make sure I keep a good balance of genres, I ran a poll on my blog, asking viewers to choose their top two favorite kinds of spankings (F/F, F/M, etc.)  I found that F/F was tied with F/M, to my surprise, with M/F spanking popularity trailing behind, and a 5% vote for M/M spankings.

I know that many male tops are offended by seing male bottoms, so I’ve devised a system to separate the male bottoming section from the female bottoming section — and will include a tiny bit of non-gay M/M spanking there, too.   It is a huge site — it has to be in order to appeal to more people — and will have frequent updates in all categories.

From seeing a few clips on your blog, it seems a bit on the harsher side, not sure how I feel about that re: blistered butts and tears and all…but what are your thoughts?

Oooh! I just love tears and blistered bottoms… My personal interests lean toward real disciplinary spankings with truly repentant bottoms…. so, sometimes in shoots I get a little carried away!  You can expect to see a good deal of tears and purple bottoms — but, of course, there will be some more light-hearted spankings (spankings can be lots of fun too!).

I’m proud of the fact that almost every spankee has cried during my shoots — including the incredibly tough Abigail Whittaker and Amber Pixie Wells.  I guess it’s not that I spank brutally, but I love it when a bottom can get catharsis from spankings, and I try to give them that extra psychological push toward tears.  It’s a wonderful experience from the top!

So are you now primarily Topping these days? or no? if so, how did you end up leaning toward that end of the spanko spectrum?

I’ve been a switch since childhood, but I’ve found that my true calling is as a top — it’s an exciting, empowering role that I’ve fallen in love with.  Early on in my relationship with Stefan, he said I was “a top that loves to get spanked.”  His reasoning was that the worst part of receiving a spanking, to me, is not getting my way.

I suppose I naturally lean towards topping….I even dream of spanking naughty bottoms in my sleep, and wake myself up with flapping my arm around… haha!  And, when I see a particularly delectable bubble butt in public, my arm starts tingling, and I admit it’s hard not to stare.   I have a few bottoming shoots in the can for Spanking360 and promised one more shoot for my good friend Dallas, but my public bottoming days are very close to done.

Are you crazy?!  Haha! Abigail can’t behave!!  Actually, I just talked to her the other day.  She was on one of her nature hikes and is happy and well.  I see and spank her often. [EDITORIAL NOTE: Check out Abi’s interview Here with the Cherry Red Report.]

She is working on an exciting new site of her own, too, with a brilliant concept that I promised not to reveal!  Abigail and I are no longer a couple, of course, but we’re very good friends and our spanking chemistry has only grown more exciting with our changing relationship.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to give a shout out to all my fellow spanking enthusiasts!  I hope to see and meet some of them at the 2010 Labor Day Spanking party in Vegas.  I have missed the last couple of parties that Shadow Lane has put on, due to personal reasons but I am looking forward to reconnecting with old friends and making new ones.

So how’s life these days?

Life is good…Always good;-)  Even when it’s not, it’s still pretty good.

Amen to that. So do you consider yourself a born spanko, so to speak, or did the interest for you develop later in life?

Since I can remember–maybe as early as 3?  My Mom’s best friend had a daughter that was 1 year older than me and we always “played house.”  We would play mommy/daddy  as well as doctor/patient role plays that were quite elaborate.

I know you have worked as a Top shooting vids for Firm Hand, and for ShadowLane, I believe. Any others we should know about?

So far only those two companies, both top-notch class acts.

What was it like for you, the first time you were filmed on-camera for a spanking scene?

Great question with a funny answer. My first video was for Shadow Lane and it was with Chloe Elise, called Sting Operation 1.  They had mailed me the script a couple of weeks a head of time and I just could not memorize it to save my life. So I just figured I would ad-lib it.

I had the concept down.  Just one problem: I had not talked to Chloe Elise about my little plan and she had memorized it…all of it…and my lines too.  Chloe Elise by the way is as smart as she is beautiful and so fun to work with.  I was so nervous I could barely speak when we started…I couldn’t even remember my own name!

So how did you first get started in the industry??

I met the wonderful Author and Director, Eve Howard at a Shadow Lane spanking party in Vegas and she asked me if I would be interested in doing videos.  At first I was hesitant but soon realized it might be a lot of fun so I tried it!  I met so many nice, fun and kind people along the way.

Do you plan to film more spanking scenes in the future?

I might if asked again, but if not, I have had my fun.  I have horrible stage fright and with all the cameras and lights and people I have mini panic attacks ever time I hear the words “Roll Camera.”

What do you think are the most important attributes to possess in order to be a good spanker/Top/Dom ?

That’s a hard question because women are individuals with different needs, wants and desires.  I think the best Tops are the ones that listen to who ever they are playing with.  Sometimes you have to be able to read between the lines as well.

My hand by far, but I love wood paddles, straps, belts, canes etc.

When you are not toasting buns, what kind of work do you do for a living?

I own a landscape construction company that specializes in designing and installing landscaping both commercial and residential.  It started out as a hobby 20 years ago.  I would find myself calling in sick to my regular job in the health care field if I didn’t finish a project over the weekend.  Eventually I decided I liked being creative more than I liked being on a time clock so I went out on my own and haven’t regretted it since.

To change gears a bit, what are some of your vanilla, non-kinky hobbies?

Hmmm, I like going to the lake with friends and family, skiing, boating.  I enjoy conversations about current events and have recently really enjoyed learning world and US history.  I have a close friend who has a way of explaining things to me so that I get it and can connect the dots.  I have also been learning a lot about my spirituality and the universe and just find it fascinating and Intriguing. I have also have taken up yoga but still find it quite painful!  I also enjoy cooking and watching movies.

1. Keeping track of say, 10 or 15 butt percussion blogs is challenging. Keeping track of the remaining 8,414 8,415 tushy tanning websites, with new ones growing like Lindsey Lohan’s rap sheet, is impossible. You will approach the announcement on the blogs of the latest round of 42 new spanking blogs with a potent mixture of both horror and dread.

2. Sometimes you will forget to update your blog, because you forgot that you actually had a blog.  Hey, it happens. [This once happened to Amelia Jane Rutherford, if that is any comfort to you.] Then it just gets embarrassing.  Then you will post something like: “I know it’s been about 2 to 3 years since my last blog post, however, I’d like to….”  In addition, you will also discover some bloggers who are such wonderfully amazing and brilliant writers, that you will glance at your own drunken scribblings and ramblings, and become pale, ashen and visibly ill.

3. Spam is totally wiggy. You will get spam penned by an ingenious auto-bot computer thingey that cheerfully says: “Hullo! I bookmarked your site but many links are broken, so you should check that out! Like right now! I think your right sidebar is screwy, too! Dig your blog though. NICE JOB.”

OK goodness, I will check this out right now, thanks for informing me! you idiotically email back, forthwith, this spammer proceeds to hack your email, shooting out thousands of male enhancement emails to your entire address book. It’s not pretty.

4. Spanko Blogging Burnout. SBB is out there and the symptoms are very bad and quite often quite irreversible, ranging from “Brat-Block” [Inability to Comprehend or Deal with, and/or Fear Of Common Bratting Behaviors] to the less common “Tushytitis” [Complete and Total Lack of Interest in Red Bums, Spanking and Disciplinary Dysfunctionality]. Scary, I know.

5. Your muddled brain will become so overwhelmed, and blinded, by cherry red ass that you begin to see everything through cherry-red colored glasses, and you will stop going to your day-job and obsess over how to change your right sidebar template for 7 hours and check every hour on the hour for the latest artwork by Kami Tora.

6. Maintaining link-lists is just a pain in the tushy. And trading links is a pain in the tushy. Then you will attempt to update your blog link-lists at work, a simply terrible idea, and you will get in trouble, then fired, which is a pain in the tushy, and lose all your money and have to pawn your computer on CraigsList. Hey, it happens. Anyone interested in an iMac?

7. Staying current on the blog and Webernet technology is no easy task. From plug-ins to tweeting to that whole FaceBook thingey, it’s a pain.  In my darkest hours, I wish we could go back to typewriters.  Updating your blog to the latest version WordPress without accidentally vaporizing your blog into little pixels of infinity and nothingness is Epic Fail. Is it worth it? I dunno! Which is why my current version of WordPress was designed in 1987, before the Interwebs was invented.

8. You will eventually get everyone’s name in the spanko scene horrendously confuzzled and all fouled up i.e. getting Victoria confused with Veronica, and Nicole confused with Nikki Rouge, and Sierra confused with Sienna, and Mina Meow all mixed up with Ms. Meow.  There’s Isabella and there’s Isis. Hmm, wait, then which one is Lila from Real Spanking or is it Real Life Spanking or is it Real Red Bums or is it, now wait a minute, hmm….ok now, what? See. [Drinking does not help in this matter.]

9. You will run out of ideas for the blog, and post inane Top 10 Lists.

10. You will have endless dreams of Rosaleen Young making her triumphant return. Then you wake up. To stare at a blinking cursor.

It was with spanko senses tingling that I first stumbled upon the refreshingly fun and light-hearted, yet sexy, spanking artistry of Nik Zula.   Naturally, one just can’t get enough red-assed art, and to discover a fresh and tasty new artist is always a thrill.

His work evokes both the delightful innocence and inherent sexyness of the spanking fetish.  His work has that old-school vibe, that vintage look and retro feel.  And celebrities, superheroes, politicians and more are never safe from his sharp wit and even sharper pencil. . .

We thought we’d ask Nik a few questions on his scarlet-hued creations.

How did you get into drawing spanking themes?

I have been interested in spanking since I was a child. I remember the emotion it caused me watching the spanking scenes in old movies and TV series being only a kid.

Also I remember being fascinated with some spanking sketches seen in old magazines…Today that emotion is lost, but I love the spanking theme, since I love drawing, I can’t avoid drawing spanking themes.

Your artwork is imbued with heapes of good humor and fun. Is that something you strive to achieve?

I can’t conceive spanking as a punishment. For me it is a funny and erotic game, and humor and fun is the character of game.

Where do you get your ideas and inspirations ?

Ideas come from everywhere…I love silly comedy. Most of the situations come from conceiving a universe where these funny situations are possible and typical — thinking about the situations in real life that can end in a spanking cartoon in this parallel world…

I can not conceive real suffering in my cartoons… every character in my sketches knows that it’s for fun, and enjoys it.

Who do you think is the most spankable celebrity and why? [Editorial Note: That is Britney Spears facing the teacher’s paddle in a Nik Zula classic illo.]

Lots of them…maybe being a celebrity stirs our fantasy and makes her spankable…mmmm. I have seen “Iron Man 2″…and Scarlett Johansson is in the top five surely. And Jessica Biel!!!…and Jessica Alba,  Evangeline Lilly in “Lost.” And Eva Mendez…and Elizabeth Hurley, Natalie Portman…and…and…etc etc.

How long does it take to create a full-color drawing, from start to finish?

I’m rather erratic…but between five and ten hours for full color, and more if it’s something really special.

And finally, how long have you been drawing?

When I was a teenager I took a course of artistic drawing and painting, but seven years ago I began to draw in this humorous, erotic way and I love it…
